Cliff Jolley’s primary areas of expertise are in market analysis, process economics, asset valuation, technology management, chemical process development, heterogeneous catalysis, advanced water treatment, occupational safety and scientific instrumentation, product design and environmental chemistry. He has developed the financing packages then initiated and led the innovation and commercialization of six technologies that were developed under combined public and private funding, inclusive of manufacturing and marketing. Cliff has previously held positions as an energy program manager for a Fortune 500 science & technology company, a research scientist and business development manager for an aerospace firm, a collegiate and high school baseball coach for 6 years, a research scientist at a major university biomedical laboratory, and as a transaction control manager at a retail bank.
Cliff’s current interests are in sustainable chemical process development, Sustainable Cities of the Future, energy strategy including hybrid energy systems, retail innovation, international trade theory and practicum, and the global political/business interface. He has conducted extensive on-site research on the effects of globalization on industries and firms, particularly with respect to organizational management and positioning techniques to achieve optimization of system-wide variances in order to maximize profitability in global operations.
Cliff has worked & conducted research in over 30 countries. He holds an MBA in Global Management from Georgetown University Schools of Business and Foreign Service in Washington, DC, and an MBA from ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Arizona State University in Tempe, and has completed the Private Equity Program at the London Business School. Cliff holds six (6) US Patents and is the author of over forty (40) refereed technical publications and reports. He has received five (5) NASA Certificates of Recognition for space flight and commercial technology developments, a NASA Space Act Award, and was NASA “Inventor of the Year” in 1994.
Dr. Wayne Allard

Dr. Wayne Allard specializes on issues related to health, defense, security, energy, transportation and land use, as well as having broad experience in financial and governmental budget policies. Prior to founding ATA, Wayne served for 26 years in elected public office, including 12 years in the U.S. Senate on such key committees as Appropriations, Intelligence, Banking and Urban Affairs, Agriculture, Armed Services, and Interior. He also served for 3 terms in the U.S. House of Representatives on Budget, Small Business, Agriculture and Natural Resources committees; and in the Colorado senate for 6 years on Agriculture, Business, Education, and Appropriations committees. Dr. Allard was elected to numerous leadership positions in the U.S. Senate, House of Representatives and the Colorado State Senate.
As a strong proponent of a broad-based energy policy, Dr. Allard founded the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Caucus in the U.S. Senate in 1998, and served as its Co-Chairman until 2009. He was also founder of the Congressional Space Caucus.
Dr Allard’s current business interests are in adaptation of business strategies to changing public policy environments, health monitoring & instrumentation, global export & energy strategies, and analysis of the effects of government policies on investment strategies.
From 1968 to 1991 he was CEO of a large regional veterinary practice and served as a local health officer. Wayne received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1967.
Mike Pardun

Mike’s areas of expertise are in CleanTech & Renewable Energy, Enterprise Software, Telecommunications, Semi-Conductors and HighTech. Mike is a seasoned executive with two decades of leadership in start-ups, venture capital and public companies, where he has a proven track record of success in the areas of Commercializing Technologies, Company Building and Operations. Throughout his career, in both the US and 6 years abroad, Mike has been instrumental in founding several companies, including one of the world’s first Internet Service providers while in the United Kingdom in the early 90’s (acquired by Microsoft) and more recently founding a Denver based renewable technology firm that developed a 250+ Megawatt pipeline of commercial and utility scale solar projects across North America. Mike has made a career of applying his skills to lead companies to profitability and generate hundreds of millions in enterprise value as an Operating Executive, VC and Management Consulting Partner. Over his career, Mike has participated in both sides of the fund-raising process; personally participating in raising over $500M in private equity and debt and directly participating in two Initial Public Offerings; including a joint offering on both the FTSE & NYSE.
Mike holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of San Diego and attended the International Management program at the London School of Economics.
Mike resides in Denver, Colorado with his wife and two children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, hiking, fishing, playing golf and tennis. Mike serves as a Board Member of several organizations that he is passionate about, including three non-profits: Denver Kids, Inc., Colorado Dropouts and The Gift of Giving.

Tim Southwell
Principal, Abundant Tomorrow
Abundant Tomorrow was established in 2007 by Tim Southwell in Hamilton, Montana. Tim has spent the last four years working within the Green Building Industry while earning the highly respected LEED AP BD+C accolade (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Accredited Professional, Building Design & Construction). Over the last four plus years, Tim has worked as a Project Consultant within the USGBC’s LEED Rating System, assisted architects & design professionals under his HERS Green Rater accreditation assuring energy efficient design compliance, and most recently assisting both General Contractors and design professionals as a Reclaimed Materials Broker.
Tim has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston in Industrial Distribution, while also completing the rigorous Construction Management & Green Building programs at Colorado State University in Denver, Colorado.
Tim has three children with his wife, Sarah, of 15 years. Tim enjoys hiking the woods of Montana with his two dogs, passing on his passion for the outdoors to his three boys and when possible, taking in a relaxing evening with his lovely wife.
