Dr. Thomas A. Cellucci
Dr. Thomas A. Cellucci possesses extensive experience and expertise as both a senior executive and Board member in both the private and public sectors. He served as the US Federal Government’s first Chief Commercialization Officer at the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under both the Bush and Obama Administrations, working closely with President Bush and President Obama as well as Cabinet-level officials. Dr. Cellucci is an accomplished entrepreneur, seasoned senior executive and Board member possessing extensive corporate and VC experience across a number of worldwide industries. Profitably growing high technology firms at the start-up, mid-range and large corporate level has been his trademark. Cellucci earned a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania (1984), an MBA from Rutgers University (1991) and a BS in Chemistry from Fordham University (1980).
Kirk Rheinlander
Kirk Rheinlander is a highly experienced executive management consultant and former corporate executive, working with over 50 organizations from Global Fortune 10s to startups. He is a serial innovator and nationally known speaker on creating an innovation culture, and has been a key team member in many ground-breaking innovations, including the original IBM PC, the first portable mass spectroscopy machine, the first laser interferometer disk drive accuracy tester, the latest generation of CRM enabled gasoline dispensers, numerous computer security breakthroughs, and a well known process modeling technique. He is a mentor and advisor to a number of high-tech, green-tech, and bio-tech companies. He holds undergraduate degrees in industrial technology from the University of Southern Maine, and electronics technology from Maine Technical Institute, as well as post-graduate work in business administration from Pepperdine University.
He designed and built a solar heated, solar cooling, geothermal, wind-powered home in the late 1970s, well before these technologies became mainstream.
Alan Miller
President of Vortex Tools, LLC, Alan has over 20 years of hands-on business and management experience. With an accounting background as his foundation, Alan is broadly skilled in sales, marketing, executive and entrepreneurial management and has provided consulting services to distressed companies and organizations for the past 20+ years. He enjoys the problem-solving aspect of business “beyond the edge” (where most entrepreneurs reside). He is innovative and creative with seven of his company-owned patents issued under his inventorship.

James Olsen
With over 30 years’ experience organizing and managing complex engineering projects, James “Jim” Olsen has organized and managed projects in the hundreds of millions involving multiple contractors in different locations. He has been recognized as an effective grassroots organizer, moving advocacy around controversial subjects toward a respectful and civil dialog. Jim owns and manages Human Interactive Products, Inc (HIPinc), located in Hamilton, Montana. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 12 years and was an engineer, Program Manager, and Director of a $500 million profit center for Raytheon Company. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of California at Berkeley, and his M.S. Industrial and Systems Engineering, at University of Florida.
Dr. Yuval Avniel
Dr. Yuval Avniel holds a Ph.D. in physics (emphasis on materials) from Cambridge University and has successfully combined technology development, technical due diligence and executive leadership in the advanced materials and nanotechnology marketplace for the past 15 years. Some career highlights include executive leadership positions in the corporate and technology start up industries, the receipt of a NASA inventor recognition award, securing numerous government funded research awards and the granting of 13 technology-related patents. His present efforts include the development of novel energy sources, the development and application of nanophase thin film systems, and providing technical due diligence services to the advanced materials and alternative energy marketplaces.
James Dayley
Jim Dayley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s in Management and has a lifetime of experience in finance and business consulting. A former Systems Development Engineer in the U. S. Air Force, Jim has since worked for E.F. Hutton as a stockbroker, as a Mergers and Acquisition consultant, and as President of two development-stage companies. In addition, he co-founded another company which is now publicly traded. His expertise is in assisting startups in evaluating and structuring investments.
